RIDE RIGHT is...
The RIGHT stuff...keep your bike in good working condition and
safe to operate.
The RIGHT gear...wear a helmet and gloves - use a mirror and
securely fasten other items, such as water bottles - to your
bike.
The RIGHT communication...communicate and signal to other
riders. For example, say "On your left," or "Pulling
off," etc.
The RIGHT riding...do not draft, jump out in front of others,
etc.
The legal RIGHT...obey the laws.
The RIGHT frame of mind...think when you ride. Be alert
when stopping and move off the traveled portions of the road.
The RIGHT abilities...do not drink and ride.
The RIGHT attitude...ride with courtesy and keep an open
passing lane.
The RIGHT attention...keep your head up and ears open.
Do not wear radio headphones while riding.
The RIGHT condition...eat right, train right and drink right
(plenty of water).
Rider reminders....
* Use your head - wear your helmet.
* Obey all rules of the road, same as you would if driving a
vehicle.
* Stop at all stop signs, look both ways before crossing an
intersection.
* Signal all turns, motorists are not mind readers.
* Have a rearview mirror, if at all possible.
* Always check your equipment before riding.
* Ride during daylight hours, avoid the dark.
* Always be prepared to use your brake.
